Sake Day 2009 (www.sakeday.com) will take place Thursday, October 1st, from 6 - 9 PM at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco.  This event, brought to you by True Sake and mari’s Catering, Inc., is the 4th annual celebration of Nihonshu no Hi (Day of Sake in Japan) here in San Francisco.

In partnership with True Sake, the San Francisco original that was the first sake-only liquor store in the U.S., we bring together our sake vendors and Mari’s Catering’s culinary talent to make a sake, food, and sake education event like no other.  There are over 100 sakes to taste, a Japanese Street Food booth featuring okonomiyaki and other festival favorites, a raffle, a complimentary sake glass, an Okinawan band, 4 sake and food pairings (featuring a Japanese, an El Salvadorean, a Mediterranean, and a California Fusion dish, each paired with a great sake by True Sake and Mari’s Catering)!  All this for only $80.  Buy tickets online at www.sakeday.com or at True Sake at 560 Hayes Street (415-355-9555).  Don’t miss out on the San Francisco sake event of 2009, SAKE DAY 2009!!!
